In Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS), a server used to manage the load on the SMS site server. You move some of the SMS components - such as the Scheduler, Despooler, Inventory Processor, and Inventory Data Loader - from the site server to one or more helper servers. A helper server must be a Microsoft Windows NT Server as well as an SMS logon server for the site.
If your site server is heavily loaded, move the SMS components to a helper server. You can use Performance Monitor to determine which components should be moved from your site server.
