Before configuring Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 to run in worker process isolation mode, you need to document the configuration for existing Web sites and applications running on the source server so you can transfer the settings to the target server.

•	Credentials: Membership in the Administrators group on the local computer.
•	Tools: Iis.msc.

To view application isolation settings in IIS 5.0

1. Open Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Services Manager. 2. Expand the local computer, right-click the Web site for which you are documenting the settings, and then click Properties. 3. Click the Home Directory tab. 4. Under Application Settings, note the settings for Application Protection. Available settings are: • Low (IIS Process) • Medium (Pooled) • High (Isolated) 5. Click OK.

To view application isolation settings in IIS 4.0

1. Click Start, click Programs, click Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack, click Microsoft Internet Information Server, and then click Internet Services Manager. 2. In Internet Services Manager, expand Internet Information Server, expand the local computer, right-click the Web site for which you are documenting the settings, and then click Properties. 3. On the Home Directory tab, under Application Settings, note whether the check box Run in separate memory space (isolated process) is selected. 4. Click OK.
